Produce Shares
Each week we create share menus comprised of the freshest, in-season produce. Share menus may be different from location to location, or even between Family and Couples Shares at the same drop spot, because shares are based on a specific dollar value and because there are limited amounts of certain crops. This is especially true early in the season when the bounty is less plentiful.
Share menus will be based on an average cost over the season, so you will experience a "bell-curve" of produce as the season progresses. Remember, you are subscribing to a garden and when the harvest surges, you will feel that surge - bring on the tomatoes, and the cantaloupe, and the corn, and the green beans, and the peaches, and the berries, and the . . . you get the idea!
Samples
Listed below are a few examples of what we expect our produce shares to look like. All samples shown are Family Share size. A Couples Share is about 2/3 the size of a Family Share, and a Single Share is the same size as a Couples Share but is collected EVERY OTHER week instead of weekly. (If a Family Share received a quart of something, a couples/singles share would receive a pint or if a Family Share receives 1lb of something, a couples/singles would receive .67, etc.)
